AVR Based Smart Electricity Meter
This project is developed for the users to read the meter reading through RF.
There are two units. One in the office and the other in the user area. In the Office, a microcontroller kit is connected with a RF receiver. A LCD display is connected with the microcontroller kit.
In the user area, a microcontroller kit is connected with a RF transmitter. According to the usage of the electric power, the microcontroller sends signal to the driver section and thereby operates the RF transmitter.
In the other side, the RF receiver receives the signal through driver section, the signal is converted to digital signal and given to the microcontroller. According to the signal, the microcontroller calculates the amount and sends signal to a LCD display to display the meter reading and amount.
Thus the individual consumer load is sensed and are currently monitored even in the office.
It uses AVR ATMEGA 8535 Microcontroller. The micro controller program is written in assembly language.
Controlling appliances from our PC is quite interesting and convenient. In this project the simple circuit along with the software is used to interface the PC with the Electronic circuit.
The Gates(And, Or, Not etc) and the Input variables are set in the system. The corresponding signal is transmitted through parallel port and the PLC kit receives the signal.
The High or Low Input are set in the PLC kit by using switches. The control operations are done in the Microcontroller using PLC(Ladder Logic) Programming.
The output is derived in the PLC kit. By using the output one can control any machine.
In industries, because of some extraordinary problems like over heating, vibration etc, the motor may be burnt.
By using ladder logic program and proper sensors, we can identify the problem and immediately the motor can be stopped to prevent burning.
Computer Based PLC with Application project uses Visual Basic as designing language and Assembly language as Microcontroller language. PIC16F73 is used as Microcontroller
Development Of Antirigging Voting System Using Finger Print
The aim of this project is to implement the development of anti rigging voting system using finger print The purpose of the project is to provide a secured and reliable environment to the customers is to electing the candidates by using the intelligent electronic voting machine by providing a unique identity to every user using the FINGER PRINT identification technology
Here in this project we are going provide the at most security since it is taking the FINGER PRINTS as the authentication for EVM. Intelligent EVM is an Embedded based project. It involves microcontroller and interfaces. Intelligent EVM has been specially designed to collect, record, store, count and display cent percent accurately. It has got two units control unit and ballot unit. It has "DISPLAY" section that will display the number of votes to respective candidate at the end of the poll.
The ballet unit consists of keypad so that the user can elect any one of them. And at the next trail of same user is being avoided to restrict him from tampering. The control unit is completely designed by micro controller and it has got flexibility to increase the number of members for electing. So when ever we want to access the finger print scanner first we have to press the switch. Scanner is interfaced to the micro controller with the serial interfacing. The micro controller reads the data from the scanner. The micro controller allows those users, who are authorized to vote. If any unauthorized user tries to operate the account the micro controller switches on the security alarm. Now the microcontroller gets the information and the result is indicated or displayed in the LCD. The ballet unit is a simple keypad interfaced to control unit and has got labeling on it to identify the respective candidate. Micro controller designs the control unit. Since it has internal flash the data can be recorded internally and then processed further.
