The Physiotherapy, unlike the traditional medicine branches, is a part of rehabilitative medicine.

It focuses on the use and various combinations of physical therapy, massages, physical movements and exercises to improve and cure injuries, deformities and diseases. Along with rehabilitation, the other important sections of Physiotherapy are diagnosis, examination and assessment of the condition.
DPT is an allied healthcare education course and its main aim is to develop a skilled workforce of allied healthcare workers. This course deals with Physiotherapy and its allied areas. Eligibility criteria for admission in DPT require completion of 10+2 (Science subjects with 50% marks). The course’s duration is 2 years.
